
Maryam Yepes
"You can’t change what you can’t measure… measure, monitor, improve and repeat."
Maryam Yepes is a registered dietitian from McGill University in Canada and holds a PhD in Public Health from the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne, with over 20 years of international professional experience, including in Canada, France, and the United States, in the agri-food industry, academia, and the medical field. She has published numerous research studies on healthy and sustainable food choices in institutions such as INSA, Harvard, ETHz, EHL, and Unil, reflecting her commitment towards “making the healthier choice, the easier choice”.
In 2013, Maryam founded Myravan Solutions, a company dedicated to addressing health and sustainability issues for foodservice professionals. She is responsible for the development of nutriMenu.ch, an innovative and scientific tool for restaurateurs to help create healthy and sustainable menus in a few easy and quick steps. For its impact on the quality of meals served in City of Lausanne’s cafeterias, in 2017 nutriMenu won the Grand Prize Swiss Citizen@Work.
With a mission to support public and private organizations in implementing ambitious strategies for healthier and more sustainable food offer, Maryam Yepes uses modern tools for detailed and continuous monitoring, on-site training, and personalized support of stakeholders to achieve specific objectives to improve the impact of our food choices on our health and our planet.
