Nelly Niwa

After completing a Master's degree in architecture at EPFL, Nelly Niwa went on to do a doctorate at Keio University in Tokyo and then at the University of Lausanne. She worked as an urban planning architect for the town of Morges, and directed the Vaud 2030 project for over 6 years. Before heading the Volteface project at UNIL, she taught at the Geneva University of Landscape, Engineering and Architecture. Since 2018, she has headed UNIL's Sustainability Competence Centre.
