Our food system is currently threatening both people and the planet. While global food production of calories has generally kept pace with population growth, more than 820 million people still lack sufficient food and many more consume too much food. Global food production also constitutes the single largest driver of environmental degradation. This calls for radical transformation of the global food system. (Source : EAT-Lancet Commission)

This opening event of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023 organised by the HUB Entrepreneurship & Innovation UNIL explores how innovation and entrepreneurship could help us to further benefit from healthy diets as well as to establish sustainable food systems.

We are delighted to welcome a panel of 4 swiss entrepreneurs who are transforming the food system. Discover how they offer solutions for the future through 4 different angles : plant-based protein, fighting food waste, tracking carbon footprint and sustainable farming.

The panel will explore the following questions, amongs others :
