“Intelligence is necessary to serve research and training within universities, but it can also promote action outside them. My literary studies in Switzerland and abroad have given me three key skills: a critical sense, the ability to synthesize, and the ability to convince in writing and speaking in several languages. Today, these are the tools I use to, among other things, defend the reputation of my clients before the court of public opinion. The result is a sense of defending justice and moderation in our enlightened democratic systems that are nevertheless haunted by populism and baser instincts.”

Marc Comina, Alumni of the Faculty of Arts

A graduate of the University of Lausanne (Lettre), Marc studied at Heidelberg University, then at Freie Universität Berlin, where he obtained a PhD in Letters. He then taught in the United States (Yale University and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor).

Marc has been active in communications since 2006. Between 2008 and 2011, he founded and managed the French-speaking part of Switzerland’s largest and oldest public relations agency. Since 2012, he has been working within his own company. Previously, he was a political journalist with several editorial offices in Lausanne, Geneva and Bern (Le Temps, télévision romande, dimanche.ch, Facts).

Marc has published two books (his thesis and an investigation into the non-election of Ruth Metzler to the Federal Council); he regularly appears in traditional and social media to comment on political news.
