A graduate of the University of Lausanne in Social and Political Sciences and with a Master’s degree in Education, Samira is a recognized specialist in Human Resources governance and strategy. Today, she is an independent director and founder of the consulting firm makers-id, which assists management and boards of directors in the transformation of work organizations and managerial culture. A former member of the board of the APHM watchmaking association in Biel, she now sits on the committee of the Swiss Circle of Women Directors. She is also Vice-President of the Empowerment Foundation in Lausanne, which is committed to the responsible development and use of new technologies.
Samira Marquis has 20 years of operational leadership experience in the executive committees of industrial SMEs and multinationals. During her career, she has participated in and led complex organizational transformation projects, notably industrialization and digitalization.
She is a lecturer at the UNIGE in work organization and human resources management and a member of the academic board of the Haute Ecole de Paysage, d’Ingénieurs et d’Architecture de Genève. She is also a professor of management at the SVIT School (l’académie romande de l’Immobilier).
